Biot has two faces with nothing in common. The village, on its hill, is a centre of art glassmaking with cobbled lanes and the entirely pedestrian Place des Arcades: you drop off at the bottom and walk up. Below, the plain holds Marineland and its leisure parks, very busy with families, plus the eastern edge of the Sophia Antipolis technology park with its office buildings and engineering school. These two worlds produce opposite demands: families with pushchairs and luggage on one side, occasional business trips on the other. Biot station, down by the sea, is in fact closer to Villeneuve-Loubet than to the village. Nice Airport is about twenty minutes away via the approach road.

Is Biot station near the village?
No, and it is a frequent confusion. The station is down by the sea, about four kilometres from the perched village, roughly ten minutes by road. If you arrive by train for the village, the journey is essential.
Can you drive up to the village?
As far as the edge: Place des Arcades and the lanes are pedestrian and cobbled. The drop-off is at the entrance car park, with a short walk uphill after that.
Do you serve Marineland with children?
Yes, with child seats and booster seats on request, to be mentioned when booking so the vehicle arrives fitted. The drop-off is at the visitor car park, as close to the entrance as possible.
