In July and August that road becomes a continuous queue and a thirty-minute journey can take two hours. The village itself is small and largely pedestrian in season: the drop-off is near the harbour, at Place des Lices or on Avenue Paul Roussel depending on the day's closures. The Pampelonne beaches, in the neighbouring commune of Ramatuelle, are a quarter of an hour away along narrow vineyard lanes where each beach club has its own access. Villas around the gulf complete the demand, often needing hourly hire over several days. Nice Airport is 1 hr 30 outside high season, La Môle twenty minutes.
