Saint-Tropez La Môle Airport: how the pick-up works
La Môle is the airfield for Saint-Tropez, about twenty minutes from the village at the head of the gulf. It is a private-aviation field: light aircraft, small jets, helicopters, with a short runway and heavily seasonal activity. In July and August traffic is dense; in winter, very quiet. The appeal for a transfer is obvious: arriving at La Môle bypasses the single access road to the gulf, the one that turns a thirty-minute drive into two hours at the height of the season. Pick-up is outside the small terminal, or as close to the aircraft as the handler allows. From La Môle, Saint-Tropez is twenty minutes away, Ramatuelle and Pampelonne half an hour, Sainte-Maxime thirty-five minutes. As with all private aviation, times move and we work with that flexibility.
